Spotlight: Kinship care and the Child Welfare League of America

The Child Welfare League of America offers a variety of resources for those concerned with child’s rights. Good example: their extensive lists of fact sheets.

Today, let’s spotlight their attention to “kinship care,” which refers to any American child in the foster care system who is being cared for by a blood relative (aunt, uncle, grandparent, etc.).

See if your state reports on kinship care and find resources and organizations to support your efforts by checking out this CWLA list.

  1. Hey so it turns out that show isn’t about adoption it’s just about the family trees of celebrities http://bit.ly/cKpD7b

But there is a movie with Adrian Grenier, well it’s actually a documentary, about how he was adopted and he tries to track down his estranged father. It’s called “shot in the dark.” http://bit.ly/8ZsP8H

    Hope that helps.
